ASHLEY PICILLO

Founder & CEO

Ashley Picillo is the Founder and CEO of Point Seven Group (Point7) an award-winning, 100% women-owned cannabis consulting firm supporting more than 300 cannabis companies across 37 states and four countries. Ashley’s cannabis career began in 2014 at the start of adult use legalization in Colorado when she was charged with overseeing operations and revenue growth for one of the State’s largest vertically integrated facilities. In this capacity, Ashley oversaw cultivation, product manufacturing, retail, distribution, QA/QC and a team of 70+ people — arming her with operational knowledge, and hands-on experience, steering a large-scale cannabis operation.

Recognizing that states across the country were rapidly building cannabis programs of their own — and evaluating the successes and failures experienced by Colorado — Ashley founded Point7 to offer management consulting services to both newly established cannabis companies preparing to pursue a business license, and more mature cannabis companies exploring exit and expansion opportunities.

Today, Point7 provides a wide range of consulting services including: business and financial strategy and modeling; operating plan development and implementation; recruitment, hiring and employee training; brand positioning and marketing strategy; community engagement strategy; and sustainability planning for cannabis facilities. Point7 was recognized as one of Colorado’s fastest growing privately held companies and was also featured on the INC5000 list.

Ashley is currently an active participant in Rolling Stone’s Culture Council, and an active Board Member for Indivisible Arts, 3isFor and the Minnesota Marijuana Association. She published her first book, Breaking the Grass Ceiling: Women, Weed and Business in 2017 and continues to work coast-to-coast supporting clients, as well as a roster of pro bono clients whom she mentors and advises.
